Master of Science in "Pharmaceutical Medicine"

The objective of this study course is to focus on day-to-day practical aspects in the field along the pharmaceutical value chain.

The course has the target to promote interdisciplinary knowledge, to facilitate the flow of information between the different phases of the drug development process and to enable the participants to develop the right competencies in order to better deal with the complex international tasks facing health care institutions and the pharmaceutical industry.

Structure

The study course lasts two years and is divided into 12 modules with 19 study units, taught in block seminars once a month, on a Thursday afternoon, Friday and Saturday at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Each study unit would be concluded with an examination.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a degree in one of the following areas:

  • Life Sciences
  • Medicine
  • Pharmacy

as well as one year’s professional experience and a good command of the English language.

Scientific Course Committee (SCC)

The Scientific Course Committee (SCC) is accountable for the overall success and applicability of the study course. The Scientific Course Committee consists of highly experienced scientists and subject matter experts actively employed in different disciplines. The main obligation of this committee is to ensure that the content of the study course is state-of-the-art.
