| The Coordinating Centres for Clinical Trials (KKS) is an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) supported from 1999 to 2009.
Their task is to drive the continuing impovement of competence in the area of clinical trials in Germany and continuing improvement of the quality of patient-oriented clinical research. The KKS Network offers scientific services to support the planning, conduct, evaluation and publication of GCP-compliant trials by developing research-oriented coordinating and support structures. The KKS Network is a reliable and competent partner for both industry and physicians in the conduct of investigator-initiated trials. The medium and long-term goal of the KKS Network is continuous improvement of the research culture in Germany with national study projects at an acknowledged high standard. An important component is systematic training and continuing education at hospitals. The network also works toward increased acceptance of clinical trials by the general public. |
